Successful interim assignments are dependent on the way they are delivered.
The trick is to assess the situation quickly and then to start adding value as soon
as practical. This is done by:
- Communicating in a really straight-forward way.
- No political agendas.
- An intensity of focus to solve the problem.
- Getting close to and working with local managers.
- Being calm and unflappable.
- Gaining the support of local HR - a help, not a threat.
- Taking account of cultural styles including English,
European and US work cultures.
